Discussion:
The league’s WBF dues commitment is currently $1.00 per ACBL member and is paid each year out of the ACBL General Fund. There are few, if any, apparent benefits to the general membership in being in this type of membership, hence the need to support these, or any, International activities with monies from the International Fund, not the General Fund. Half a million dollars in three years is an enormous price for no benefits to our membership. I believe these monies should come from the International Fund. If qualified teams and junior programs who are desirous to compete in International activities are shortened by this draw from the International Fund they can petition the Board of Directors for donations to support International travel.
